The ASICS Gel-NYC Black Graphite Grey is a performance running shoe that combines elements from heritage and contemporary sneakers in the ASICS catalog.
The upper of the Black Graphite Grey ASICS Gel-NYC draws inspiration from running shoes from the early 2000s, including the Gel-Nimbus 3, while adding embellishments sourced from the MC-Plus V. Black mesh serves as a base for synthetic leather overlays in Graphite Grey and metallic silver. The rounded edges of the overlays give the metallic silver a fluid look that resembles mercury or liquid metal. Reflective accents increase visibility in low lighting, while the front lace closure secures the fit. In contrast to the retro-inspired upper, the tooling system comes from the Gel-Cumulus 16. This midsole includes gel technology inserts and a combination of lightweight foams.
